For those of you who don't know, the original thread and rules are here. killersquids.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=off&thread=197&page=1StonersA week after the last adventure, the Things are gathered in the den watching Tripod show off his new flashlight when suddenly an all too familiar green glow flies out of the basement. Epsilon: "I am EPSILON! I shall NEVER be DESTROYED! MuhahahahahahahaHAHA!" Lance: "Oh not again..." Before anyone can do anything, three unknown Things leap into action. They yell out all kinds of jargon which sound like military commands. Then one of them throws out a blue rock. The three Things glow blue and lasers shoot out of their eyes. The six beams all hit Epsilon at different points. One of them, a teddy bear with a small heart on its chest, yells out. James: "Don't cross the streams!!!" Epsilon: "EaaarrrrggGHHHHHARRRRRGGGUHHHH!" Epsilon flies into the basement. The stone crumbles. James: "Argh! He got away! That was our last stone too! Let's head back to base and figure out our next move." The three heroic Things head up the stairs. The remaining Things stare in awe. Papa Squiddlepuss: "What in the hell just happened!?! You! Lance, Tripod, Blueted, Vee, Lampman! I want you to follow them, learn their secrets, and get me one of those stones!" ******************** Players from the previous game get first choice to be in this one, but if they wanna drop out someone else can join, up to 5. Post your updated character sheet and your first action to officially join in. I may tweak this a bit in the morning.

Metal Arm (jointed; right)- Immune: Burn Vulnerable: Tear Density: 1 Flexibility: 3 Durability: 2 Health Points: 4 Special: Grants a +5 bonus to manipulating objects or using tools.

Description: Just look at the pic, brah!
Personality: Sarah, (Trent's older sister) is great at sewing, and also has a mean streak. So, she put together a... thingy... out of some of Trent's older, discarded toys, for Christmas a few years past. Amazingly, Trent fell in love with it, and Vee is now a highly regarded member of the bedroom community, albeit rather eccentric. A little mischievous, but he has a good heart. He also reads Trent's books, and knows The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by heart. However, sometimes the spirits of his past can become very close, very close indeed...
Special Ability: He has Chortles.
Chortles- Immune: Crush, Impact Vulnerable: Burn, Slash, Tear Density: 4 Flexibility: 2 Durability: 2 Health Points: 4 Special: Chortles was given along with Vee as a present. As such, they are neither two seperate Things, nor are they one and the same. Chortles can act on his own, but has the mindset of a housecat. Vee shares a link with Chortles, so they both know what the other is doing at all times.

I'm not sure he can fly, but he should be able to glide for a very long time. You sure you want to spend it all on flexibility? You can glide as long as your density is less than 5.

GM Mini-Decree-Followship
Lance HITCHES a RIDE on Tripod.
Everyone Else NIMBLY STUMBLES up the STAIRS.
The top of the stairs is slightly dim. All the lights in the house are off and the only illumination is from the windows. There are no windows in the hall at the top of the stairs.
A loud bark rings out! It's Rufus! Oh no!
...
Oh wait, it came from outside. Good thing the Does leave Rufus outside when they're not home.
In the gloom, you can just see Sarah Doe's door cracked open. The crack seems big enough for most Things to fit through.
Across from Sarah's door is the door to Trent's room. There's also the bathroom door between them and John and Jane's room is at the other end of the hall, behind you. None of them appear to have been opened.
All of you remember the three Things you are looking for. There was a stuffed bear with a small heart that seemed to have been made from stiffened cloth. Another was one of those sewing bags that you stick pins end that crawled around on pieces of string. The last was a shiny golden trophy. So shiny. Obviously, these guys were the A Team. ******************** I need to know who else is in. Remember to post your updated character sheet and an action!

Lampman turns into a ninja lamp and becomes very cautious. "I say we stand on the top of the stairs and nuke the entire basement from orbit. Bonus for guessing what movie that's from!

GM Mini-Decree-Enter...THE ROOM
Tripod SITS DOWN. Tripod TAKES a NAP.
Lance HOPS DOWN from Tripod.
The Group (except for Tripod and Lampman) ENTERS into SARAH'S ROOM.
Lampman SNEAKS towards the DOOR. Lampman PEAKS in SARAH'S ROOM behind The Group.
The room is dark, you could really do with Tripod's flashlight. Sadly he is asleep in the Hall, being useless. There is a glow though. A familiar green glow...
It is...
The glow...
Of something you haven't seen for a very long time. It appears to be The Glowstick of Illumination!
Gathered around the Glowstick are the three Things you have been looking for as well as another Thing. It appears to be a very large sewing basket.
Mother Tasket: "...so the stone is gone? Crumbled to dust? Really, you three need to use them more wisely. We don't have an unlimited supply you know.
Very well then, I suppose you'll just have to go down to the basement and gather more. Off with you then!"
The three Things begin to turn around, better act fast! ******************** We needs ya Tripod! It's pretty dark around...everywhere.
Oh wait, nevermind. We have Lampman, forget you.
Actually I'd still like you in. Post before Friday or a certain toy car might be joining the posse.

Yes, Vee does know his sci-fi. Lampman: Enter the room and fade into the background like the ninja-lamp he is. While providing light for the others, of course.

Metal Legs (jointed) - 1pt Immune: Burn Vulnerable: Tear Density: 1 Flexibility: 3 Durability: 2 Health Points: 2 Special: Grants a +5 bonus to all movement rolls. Metal Legs (jointed) - 1pt Immune: Burn Vulnerable: Tear Density: 1 Flexibility: 3 Durability: 2 Health Points: 2 Special: Grants a +5 bonus to all movement rolls. Metal Body (hollow) - 1pt Immune: Burn Vulnerable: Crush Density: 2 Flexibility: 0 Durability: 4 Health Points: 3 Special: Allows you to store small items inside yourself. Metal Spike - 1pt Immune:Burn Vulnerable: Crush Density: 2 Flexibility: 0 Durability: 3 Health Points: 3 Special: Allows character to make Piercing attacks. Obviously, not for toys. Light Bulb - 1pt Immune: Burn Vulnerable: Crush Density: 3 Flexibility: 0 Durability: 4 Health Points: 2 Special: allows light at any time note: In kkeeping with the tripods from the war of the worlds, this light is more of a strong spotlight, as opposed to a general lightsource Tripod is a creation made by John Doe in his youth, despite being just some metal parts soldered together in the approximation of a martian war machine from the cover of the War Of The Worlds record he takes it with him everywhere as a paperweight and occasionally for pinning notices on the 'heat ray', or attatching them via magnet. Being such an old and durable Thing has lent Tripod an aloof air of superiority over the many toys and other Things he has seen pass by, because he is used for the likes of holding paper and notices inplace rather than being played with, and belongs to an older married man, he is very serious, nonetheless, he loves to use his metal spike to try and show other Things 'how it's done' ~~~~~ Tripod, who had been debating just leaving the others to their devices rather than risk his most excellent newly rebuilt and repaired form, decides to help out anyway, lest all the others almost certainly be killed in some horrible way, he approaches the door, but does not enter, instead switching on his spotlight just as the three intruders turn around "Who are you, and what are you doing here?" he asked at once, doing his best to be menacing
